Can I get a ride?

Let me know if you will need transportation or have an extra seat in your car. Ideally, folks who live in the same area can get hooked up for a ride to the farm.

Drivers: How many open seats do you have?
What part of town are you in?
What time are you planning on leaving?

Riders: What part of town are you in or can you easily get to?
Are you a cooky, murdering hitchhiker?
Can you chip in a little for gas?

How Do I Get to the Wedding?

17100 NW Sauvie Island Rd
Portland, OR 97231
(503) 621-3489

From downtown Portland (about 30 min. drive):
1. Head north on SW Naito Parkway (the street parallel to the river, which will be on your right if you are driving north)

2. SW Naito Parkway turns into NW Front Ave

3. Turn Left at NW Nicolai St (0.2 miles)

4. Turn Right at NW Yeon Ave/OR 30/Columbia River Hwy (1.9 miles)

5. Follow this as it becomes NW St. Helens Rd/OR 30/Columbia River Hwy (6.5 miles)

6. You will pass under the St. Johns bridge and through a little town called Linnton. About 3 miles past Linnton take the Sauvie Island bridge on the right.

7. Follow Sauvie Island Rd for 1.3 miles. You will see the farm on your right. Follow the signs for wedding parking.

What should I wear? Formal?

We are saying "semi-formal" or "cocktail attire" officially, but don't worry too much about what to wear, just come and have fun celebrating with us!

Keep in mind that if it has rained within the last couple of days the grass might be somewhat muddy so go with the flats, wedges, or wider heels so as not to sink into the grass.

Is the bar hosted or should I bring some cash?

Beer and wine are hosted throughout the night and there is a cocktail hour while we take pictures and whatnot. However, be sure to tip your bartenders big. Ian has to work with them weekly and they have threatened his wellbeing if they didn't rake in tips.

Are you registered anywhere?

Yes! We are registered at:

Macy's
Target
and
Honeymoon Wishes

How do I get around Portland?

If you are not renting a car we have a wonderful public transportation system, Trimet, that can get you almost anywhere in the city.

What's there to do in Portland?

I am glad you asked!

Dirt Cheap Guide to Portland and
Travel Portland
have a good list of things to do around town and local events taking place during your stay.

You can always stop by McMenamins Edgefield and Kennedy School for a fun place to dine, drink, play on a tiny golf course, soak in a soaking pool, get a massage, watch a movie, have a cigar or listen to some live music while having a local beer.

If the great outdoors is more your style head to the Gorge. While you are there we recommend taking the hike down to lower Oneonta Falls and swim in a beautiful waterfall.

You can check out Silver Falls, a canyon with a trail that takes you around, over and occasionally behind 10 waterfalls.

Or drive to the Pacific Coast. Both Rockaway Beach and Cannon Beach are great places to spend a day.

In addition, you can play it more low key at the Rose Test Garden, the Oregon Zoo, OMSI or the Hoyt Arboretum The latter is not that neat.
